About Us
Milford on Sea Food Week celebrates all that is great about food. Our New Forest seaside village is fortunate to be blessed with great places to eat and surrounded by quality local producers, so what better way to celebrate this than to have an entire week dedicated to the joys of food!
Everyone at every age is included, and Milford on Sea Food Week has over 100 activities including: Themed Dining Evenings, Professional Cookery Theatre, Celebrity Shows, Cooking Demonstrations, Educational Talks, Film Shows, Cookery Competitions, Dining Offers, Wine Tastings, Kid's Events & a Sunday Food Market, all organised by local organisations, clubs, businesses and individuals.
Food Week is co-ordinated by a small dedicated group of volunteers who provide their expertise and time for free. We are also fortunate to have a generous group of sponsors & supporters. Any income generated by Food Week is only used to cover promotional costs, and no fees or expenses are taken by any of the Food Week organisers. We are delighted to support local charities from any profits that are made.
As our event is truly ‘By the community, for the community’ your support is critical to us, and we thank you for getting involved by enjoying the events during Food Week.

The success of the Milford on Sea Food Week is totally dependent on the participation & support of everyone in village. Big or small, any help or event participation is appreciated. The organising group consists of only two people working on a voluntary basis (Jon & David), plus two dogs, Taz & Skye, (who frankly don’t help much, but are very good at sausage tastings). On our own the events would be restricted to a 'hot dog in a telephone box!', but with your help we can have a week full of varied events to be proud of.

Who would we like involved?

Donations & Fund Raising
The Food Week will have some central costs (for example: leaflet printing, music bookings, hall hire, etc.), we of course need to raise the funds to cover these. We therefore kindly ask anyone who organises a food week event to make what they consider a ‘fair donation’ to Food Week, relative to the benefits you have gained. This is in return for all the ‘extensive & free publicity’ we will provide to make this event a great success.
Any profits after running costs will go directly to the Milford on Sea Community Centre. *Copies of the event costs are available on request.
